Richard, has had lots of experience in both the corporate world and also as a business owner. He left his career within the military/defence industry to fulfil his desire to help small business owners succeed and established a business consultancy. He is forever saying “if you have the b*lls to leave a perfectly good job and start your own business, you deserve to succeed”. He is committed to providing the type of support and services which are aimed directly at the small business owner. Richard has worked with many small business owners and has had good results, including saving businesses from closure. After starting out as a Civil Servant, Richard decided to re train into the System/Operations environment. This background allows him to bring a wealth of experience relating to improving efficiency and profitability. Richard is an experienced corporate professional with an excellent reputation for team leading and getting the job done. He has worked throughout the world on many varied industries from automotive, paper manufacture, commercial electronics and military/defense products. Richard also took part in the 2007 NZ Business Excellence awards as an assessor. Throughout his career he has successfully implemented management systems, obtaining ISO9001/14000, and driven cost reduction activities worth over $1.5m per year. He is an avid sportsman enjoying motorcycle racing, cycling, weight training and running. His ambition is to sponsor a Kiwi motorcyclist to compete on the world stage.
